Safer Recruitment and safeguarding statement

This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and young people. We have a robust Child Protection Policy and all staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout employment at the School.  We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

For this reason we will:

  • not accept CVs.
  • always seek two references ourselves from a most recent employer and second reference from a person who is able to make a judgment about a candidate's suitability to work with children.
  • carry out to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and, for teachers, a Prohibition List check.
  • not interview anyone without seeing two forms of ID
  • ensure candidates have permission to work in the UK.

We will always abide by the principles set out in the Department for Education's Keeping Children Safe in Education (Part 3).

We are also committed to meeting the needs of a diverse community and aim to have a workforce that reflects diversity.
