PE curriculum:

In Key stage 3 and 4 core PE consists of 2 hours per week where we provide a curriculum that is broad and flexible in order to meet the needs of our students. Throughout the curriculum students explore a range of roles that include leadership, officiating and coaching. As well as focusing upon the benefits of physical activity students in Key  Stage 3 also follow a unit in healthy active lifestyles and in Key Stage 4 students are encouraged to think about their lifelong participation in physical activity. There is also an opportunity for students to take the Sports Leadership award.

Leadership:

Students have the opportunity to develop their organising and leadership skills  by contributing to the extra-curricular programme and supporting primary school competitions which are held regularly throughout the year.
