Bad Weather arrangements – Winter 2018/19

Firstly, whatever the weather conditions, please assume that the school will be open as normal. However, with variations in weather forecasts and contrasting road conditions across our large catchment area, it will always be difficult to choose the right moment to close the school. SEND information

The Learning Support Centre (LSC) is managed by the school SENCO (Jenn Blunstone) who is supported by various teaching staff and teaching assistants.   It specialises in literacy and numeracy teaching for students who are not progressing in line with expectations, lack confidence, have  gaps in knowledge or specific learning needs and a specialist programme to meet their needs and enable them to make more rapid progress in core skills. GCSE Results 2014/2015

Students at Nidderdale High School have once again achieved some fantastic GCSE results.   Results in the core subjects were strong with 83% of students achieving A*-C grades in English and 77% in Maths. Overall, 65% of students achieved at least 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths.   Students performed well across a wide range of subjects. In 12 subject areas this lead to pass rates of at least 90% A*-C, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, French, German and History. British values – Tackling Extremism and Radicalisation

Safeguarding our students

SAFEGUARDING STUDENTS 2018 Nidderdale High School is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of all students. The school’s designated Safeguarding lead is Kath Jordan, Headteacher and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Anneliese Walker, Senior Pastoral Officer. GCSE Results 2015/16 and Breakdown

Nidderdale High School is, once again, celebrating excellent GCSE results, continuing their track record of success with another set of ‘best ever’ results. Overall, 70% of students achieved at least 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths.  This is a 5% increase on last year’s results. Students performed well across a wide range of subjects. Supporting Students with Medical Conditions

We are an inclusive community and welcome students with medical conditions.  We support them to access as much of the curriculum to as they are able and provide all students with medical conditions the same opportunities as others at school.  Parents/ carers are asked to tell us about student’s medical conditions as soon as possible so that we can begin to support them.
